Celebrate Earth Day right by listening to Bash the Trash. Introduce yourself to a world of science, sound, and sustainability with musical instruments made from trash! This show explores the science behind instruments; then shows how to build your own from recycled and repurposed materials - and start a junk band! Funding has been made possible, in part, by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission and the Friends of the Northeast Branch. This is a ticketed event. Tickets go on sale one week prior to the show. Tickets are $1.00 and are fully refundable at the door.

Northeast Branch (Independence)

The Northeast Branch first opened in February of 1993. In November 2009, the Warren County Freeholders purchased the Best Fruit Farm Building as the future home of the branch. After a year of renovations, in May 2011, staff and a group of 153 volunteers moved the branch to our new location. The new facility has become a community center with its meeting rooms, public access computers, and quiet reading area. We strive to offer programs of interest to both children and adults as well as being a focal point for community interaction.
