Thanks to everyone who came out to a screening!

The votes have been tallied, and the many film lovers around the world voted Room Taken as their number one choice. Jane Austen's Period Drama came in second, followed by Alarms.

Thomas Coumans in Alarms received the most votes for best actor. 

Join in as over 100,000 film lovers in over 500 cities across six continents gather in Cinemas, Museums, Libraries and Universities for one purpose...to view and vote on the Finalists' Films in the 27th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival! 

  • Upon entry at all participating venues, festival attendees are handed a Voting Card and an Official Program and asked to vote for the ONE Film and Actor they feel should win. Votes are tallied by each host venue then emailed to our NYC headquarters.

  • The runtime is 2 hours and 40 minutes, with an 8 minute intermission about halfway through
  • These films are unrated, so this event is for adults only
  • ​Funding has been provided by the Friends of the Richard D. Gardner Branch, the Friends of the Northeast Branch, the Friends of the Southwest branch, the Warren County Division of Cultural and Heritage Affairs and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
